On the bus, my CD player wasn't working for some reason or another. I was way too tired from not sleeping last night, so I made no attempt to fix it. Rather, I sat with my headphones on my head and stared out the window as if I was listening to them, I avoid any conversation from someone who thought we had something in common.

It didn't work. Someone started calling to me, trying to get my attention, and I ignored him. But you can only ignore someone screaming in your ear for so long, so I pulled my headphones down and asked him what he wanted.

He told me that my CD player was on very loud and he could hear it at his seat across the aisle. I assured him that I would turn it down.
