Typical self-destructive behavior. It happens, and most of the time as carefully orchestrated as a case study. If you think things through and consider factors such as the vastness of the universe and the infinity of space, you come to the completely reasonable conclusion that things -- not to mention you in particular -- do not really matter. This is not the typical depressive mode of thought, but a casual realism I've adopted to make my daily decisions hold less weight and thus seem less life altering. Perhaps, then, I could be justified in going somewhere far away, seeing more things and places to reaffirm my theory that the world is terribly large. (The man who gets attacked by the robots that maintain his factory sometime in his future, the story that alternates between graphic violence and mantras of peace and the meaning of life, spinning on an axis of flowers.)
