Rocking that Issey

Now I am really on an adventure. After the reduced hours and lies I faced at my hotel workplace, I quit without notice but with another job at hand. I didn't know anything about the job, just that they would pay me more and that I didn't have to be yanked around by a company that mocks labor laws with a shrug and a smile. For the last week, I've been selling rip-off designer perfumes and colognes out of the trunk of a car, driving all around California with a car-load of strangers, stopping in some busy parking lot and popping the hood. This is a lot more fun than the office job I wanted. I get to be outside, unsupervised, eating when I want to and smoking when I want to, insulting strangers when I want to. I'm meeting many people and seeing many places but I've always hated sales. I've always disliked the prospect of convincing someone to buy something, but my life is suddenly an adventure. I've been rocking the Chanel #5 perfume for free everyday and pulling up to shady parking lots to pop the trunk and smoking blunts with strangers and standing at street corners shoulder to shoulder with drug dealers trying to push perfume. I've been pulling a beanie over my head to protect myself from the rain and hustling strangers on their way inside grocery stores, shopping malls and department stores all over the East Bay. Wherever life takes me, I always hope to be able to someday write an exciting memoir.
