At no time in my life have I been so completely fulfilled as I am right now. We swam in the hot sun, splashing and smoking cigarettes, and then went to the library and came home with an armload of books. We ate dinner together and then drank red wine on the patio and talked about the future and books and our life together. I'm exhausted and happy, feeling like I'm riding off into the sunset which marks the end of a glorious day.
